Balatonfüred is located on the northern shore of the largest fresh water lake of Central Europe. The town has a history reaching back to 800 years. It is a very popular holiday resort due to its excellent geographical conditions, healing sour-water springs and unforgettable wines.

Balatonfüred with its 13000 inhabitants was awarded the “Spa Resort Town” title in 1971 and it became “The International own of Grape and Wine” in 1987.
